Referred to House (sub)committee

1 cosponsor.

“Urging a return to the principles outlined in the “Road Map for Peace” as a viable framework for achieving a peaceful solution in the Middle East.” Recognizes Israel’s struggle against “violence and terrorism”; “Palestinian organizations are engaging in an organized, systematic, and deliberate campaign of terror”; and resolving the “violence, terror, and bloodshed” since the year 2000 is in the interests of the U.S., Israel, and the Palestinians. Also references the signing of the Geneva Accords (GA) by Yossi Beilin and Yasser Abed Rabbo and U.S. Secy. of state Colin Powell’s meeting with both of them. In this framework it expresses “strong concern” over the signing of the GA and since it was not signed by elected officials in the PA or Israeli government states that the document does not have “governmental legitimacy.” Finally, urges the usage of the Roadmap as the framework for Middle East peace.
