Reaffirming the commitment of the United States to promoting religious freedom globally, and for other purposes

H.Res.319
Introduced:
May 11, 2017
115
First
May 18, 2017
Referred to House (sub)committee

Like S. Res. 162 of 5/11/17, this resolution specifically cited the persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt and both Christians and Baha'i in Iran, but instead of an “action plan,” it called on the president to develop a “national security strategy” on religion freedom and to incorporate it into the broader U.S. diplomatic, development, and national security strategies.
