Second

Referred to House (sub)committee

15 cosponsors.

Calls for all refugee situations to be resolved in order to achieve a stable Middle East, including that of Jewish and Christian refugees who left Arab countries; calls for inserting references to these whenever the Palestinian refugee issue arises. Cites the U.S.’s particular interest in Jewish refugees from Arab countries since 1977 and states that “Egypt, Jordan, and the Palestinians have affirmed that a comprehensive solution to the Middle East conflict will require a just solution to the plight of all ‘refugees.’” Bill also states that the international community must be aware of and address Jewish and other refugees in the region to achieve a comprehensive peace agreement.
