“To direct the Secretary of Education to provide grants to promote Holocaust education and awareness.” Seeks to provide $10,000 to existing Holocaust education programs on the condition that a matching grant is forthcoming from state or private sources. Goals of these programs funded by the Sec. of Education are to educate Americans and facilitate awareness in the U.S. about the Holocaust, and to dispel falsehoods circulated by Holocaust deniers. Total appropriations under this bill are $3m per year from 2004-2008.
