Referred to House (sub)committee

Introduced two weeks after U.S. president Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and announced that he intended to move the U.S. embassy in Israel to that city, this bill would amend the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 and direct the president to complete the relocation by 1/1/19. (Successive U.S. presidents exercised this waiver for 23 years until Trump’s 12/6/17 declaration.)
