State Sanctions Against Iranian Terrorism Act

H.R.3425
Introduced:
July 26, 2017
115
First
July 26, 2017
Referred to House (sub)committee

Designed to “protect and support state-level sanctioning authority against Iran,” according to a 7/26 press release from DeSantis’s office, this bill would facilitate state laws prohibiting or limiting certain U.S. investment activities in Iran. Inter alia, it would direct the federal government not to “interfere” with such legislation, rather than merely “supporting” it, as existing law recommends.
