Passed in Senate

4 cosponsors.

The resolution was timed to encourage U.S. officials involved with the OECD meeting (5/07), where it will vote on new members to its body, to use “all necessary means to secure Israel’s membership in the OECD” before and during the meeting. It cites the democratic, free market values of Israel, Israel’s support for the U.S. in international organizations “more consistently than any other country,” and the desire to help Israel establish its global position in the international economic market.

Passed in Senate by unanimous consent 5/3/07.
