Like identical bill H.R. 1911 of 4/5/17, this bill would elevate the status of the U.S. special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism to the rank of ambassador, direct the envoy to report directly to the secretary of state, and prevent the envoy from being saddled with an additional, unrelated portfolio of issues.
