Since 1988, the Lower East Side Tenement National Historical Site has hosted a museum honoring the history of immigrants to New York City. Among other administrative upgrades, this act provides for specific exhibits recognizing Puerto Rican migrants, post-1965 Chinese immigrants, and Holocaust survivors.
